There is a series on Netflix called I See for the Kandahar Hijack. By this name, there is a flight of Indian Airlines i.e. IC4 which was hijacked on twenty-fourth December, in which there were eight people and this hijacking lasted for seven days. This means that this was the longest day-long hijacking operation in India so far. And what happened at that time, how the flight reached Kandahar in Afghanistan from Kathmandu, its live action has been shown to us in this series.

I have seen it and how is this series. Let’s talk. Hello Mera Naam Hai Ramesh Aur Hamari Mulakta Baar Baar Hogi This series has six episodes and a runtime of 30 to 40 minutes and one episode is based on a real event which has been adapted. The book From Flight into Fear the Captain Story is written by the pilots of the same flight, Captain Devi Sharan and Srinjay Chaudhary, which is also shown in the disclaimer of every episode.

Brother, when any such terrorist activity, terrorist attack or such planes are hijacked, then obviously the lives of innocent people are in danger but the whole country trembles with it. Gets scared. At the same time, it also becomes an emergency situation, in which everyone from the PM, CM of the country to the Intelligence Bureau, Police Force, NSG Commando, Media Press all get involved. But what happens in an actual hostile situation, only those who have come back from that trauma, that situation and the captain of the plane that was hijacked, Sharan Witch, will be able to tell.

This is Vijay Verma. The events of this series have been adopted from the book written by him. And to be very honest. This series has actually turned out to be better. Not because of only the story telling, but the performance by every actor. This is fabulous and why not, it has all the experienced actors like Arvind Swami. After a long time I saw Kumud Mishra, Naseeruddin Shah, Pankaj Kapoor, Vijay Verma, Dia Mirza, Manoj Pahwa Aditya Srivastava Bhai, what a casting.

But somewhere I felt that the makers were not able to utilize such veteran artists as much as they could have. But brother, I was most impressed by Rajiv Thakur. Man, his comedy in Kapil Sharma’s show was not that good. Sorry but here he fits the character of the main hijacker perfectly. I think serious roles suit him better. In the show Same Happen with Kapil Sharma, apart from comedy, he is in a very serious role. And what an acting performance Kapil paaji had done in that. And in this Rajeev Thakur along with us explained the meaning of real time.

Actually, some footage of the time when this airplane was hijacked is shown in the series by matching it very smartly, which also gives it a realistic touch and we keep getting connected to the series even more. Now since this is a real story, all the events shown in it are also real, so I believe that somewhere the names of the hijackers also had to be kept real. What pressure was there on the maker? I don’t know, you should Google it. You will know the real name. Yes, due to creative freedom, spice has definitely been added to some scenes.

But if you do not know about this dramatic and graphic event that happened in our country, then brother I will definitely recommend this series to you. But if you have seen many hijack movies before, then you might find it slow paced. And if you know about this event then it is even better. You can definitely watch it for the actor’s performance and storytelling. The story is a bit old time, almost 25 years ago. So into a little picturization. The film has been kept in its slightly old tone. You will see a warm tone throughout the series.

But somewhere the extra saturated and overexposed light stings the eyes. You will understand when you watch the series. But it definitely takes its entire time to build up the story, due to which this series will also test your patience.
