Web Series Review
Brother, see Ritesh Deshmukh in serious roles and whenever Ritesh Bhai has been serious like in the role of a villain or watch his recent Marathi movie web, then you will understand that he does not fail in serious roles. Maintaining the same seriousness, a new show has come on Jio Cinema. The name is Pal Pal. That means medicine, pill, medicine. In Marathi and basically it is based. On a medicine manufacturing company Forever Cure Pharma and their illegal business versus some common men. So I have watched this series on Jio Cinema Premium.
And how was my experience? Let’s talk. Hello, my name is Ramesh and we will meet again and again. Watch the episode. Its total eight episodes, out of which if the last episode is left out, the rest are only 30 to 35 minutes long. The last finale episode is of one hour long, so hold on, it will easily take you four and a half hours to watch this series. And to be honest, I didn’t even know how the first five episodes ended.
The first episode is spent in build up, but the way you will get emotionally attached along with the story and character build up from the second episode, you will not feel like leaving this series midway. Now think about what a big topic he has raised, after seeing which you too might start feeling scared that whether the medicines we or our family members are taking are right. Now look, this does not mean that all pharma industries are like this. Not to worry.
This is a fictional story that tells us how to avoid getting misled about actual medicines. And how big is the pharmaceutical business. Show me one house in the whole of India, in whose house no person has consumed even a single medicine till date. Hey, people keep extra medicines for cold, cough, fever and painkillers at home. So imagine that today out of 140 crore people, only 50 crore people have only one headache pill in their house, which is available for only ₹ 2, then do the calculation yourself. I’m just talking about headaches.
There are many diseases for which pills have to be taken daily and there are many companies in the market that manufacture medicines. So this series is based on one such pharma company, which to keep its market at the forefront, is bringing fake and substandard medicines in the market without conducting clinical trials or doing fake trials, due to which it is having an impact on the common people. He is even dying. So standing against this is Dr. Prakash Blood by Ritesh Deshmukh who is a drug inspector or a medical authority in this series.
And what performance by Ritesh bhai yaar sach kahta hoon me na. Ritesh Bhai looks better in serious roles than comic roles. Look, the episodes are short and engaging so you won’t lose much track of time. Also it’s a fictional story. But the way the storyline has been presented, you will also start thinking that yes, why are my mom and dad’s sugar BP pills not being stopped? On top of that, doctors are saying that walk in the morning, do yoga, you will get well. Hey, then what are these medicines doing? Anyway, let’s not go into too much detail.
I just want to say that this is the most relatable serious to every Indian person who has taken a medical pill at least once in his entire life. Yes, some of its dialogues hit me a lot. But heroes live only in films. In reality, the world is run only by villains or it is a sin to go to bed on an empty stomach. If there is a father in the house, then if I watch any of the series that have come out recently, I would definitely recommend Pill.
Whatever expectations I had from season three of Mirzapur, thank God Pill fulfilled those expectations. This form of entertainment engages you and entertains you. On top of that, there is no abuse, no vulgarity and no bloody beauty. Pure and pure family drama show. The climax was a bit predictable. The last episode also could have been half an hour long. But the song was not included. Did right. All the actors have done a great job because brother Ritesh is there, there should be at least a little bit of comic entertainment in it. So you will like the chemistry he has shown with his wife.
Anyway, see you again with the powerful explanation of the new movie.
